Cantera has been used extensively as the main source of masonry and decorative material applied to thousands of important buildings throughout Mexico since the time of the Spanish "Conquista."  Today these timeless structures stand side by side with modern buildings where Cantera continues to be used.

Cantera is a very durable stone and has proven successful in many heavy traffic areas.  It wears best when used with a honed finish.
